Frequently asked questions
Everything you probably want to know before joining: what TantraTribe is, how the community works, and how safety, consent and privacy are handled.
- What is TantraTribe?
- TantraTribe is a consent-first community platform for the tantra community in the Netherlands and Belgium. Members discover tantra events and workshops, join groups around shared interests, and get to know each other through profiles, resonances and private conversations.
- Is TantraTribe free?
- Yes. Creating an account, browsing the events calendar and joining the community is free.
- Who is TantraTribe for?
- Adults (18+) in the Netherlands and Belgium who practice tantra or are curious about it, from complete beginners to experienced practitioners and event organisers. The platform is available in English and Dutch.
- Is TantraTribe a dating platform?
- Partly, and in a mindful way. TantraTribe includes conscious dating: when you feel drawn to someone you can send a resonance, and when the interest is mutual a private 1-on-1 conversation opens. There is no swiping and no pressure; connections grow at the pace both people choose. At the same time TantraTribe is more than dating. It is a community built around events, workshops and groups, and many members are here for friendship, practice and learning.
- How does TantraTribe handle safety and consent?
- Every member agrees to community guidelines that put consent, respect and responsibility at the centre. Profiles, messages and other private areas are never public. Members can report behaviour that violates the guidelines; reports are reviewed and acted on, up to removal from the community.
- Is my data private?
- Yes. Private 1-on-1 messages are end-to-end encrypted: only the sender and the receiver can read them, nobody else, not even the platform. Your profile is visible to the community according to your settings, and private areas are excluded from search engine indexing. See the privacy policy for details.
- Which cities does TantraTribe cover?
- Members and events across the Netherlands and Belgium, with city guides for Amsterdam, Utrecht, Rotterdam, The Hague, Antwerp and Ghent. The public events calendar can be browsed without an account.
- How do I find tantra events near me?
- The events calendar lists upcoming workshops, practice evenings and gatherings with date, city and organiser details. The city guides collect beginner-friendly information per region, including what to expect at a first workshop.
- Can organisers list their events?
- Yes. Organisers in the community share their events on the calendar, including events that sell tickets through external platforms. Get in touch via the contact page if you organise tantra events in the Netherlands or Belgium.
